The Environmental Services Business Group of CH2M HILL, a global
full-service engineering, construction and operations firm, was
recently recognized with the Million Work Hours Award from the
National Safety Council (NSC) for its exceptional safety record.
The milestone was reached June 12, 2007.
Moldex-Metric, Inc. to announce that Jeff
Birkner, Vice President of Technical Services has received his
doctorate in Environmental Heath Science. This is a tremendous
achievement after four years of hard work and studying at UCLA’s
School of Public Health. Among the many accomplishments that Dr.
Birkner holds, he is also the Vice Chair of the Respiratory
Protection & Hearing Protection committees for the International
Safety Equipment Association, is a Certified Industrial Hygienist,
and he sits on several American National Standards Committees. We
are proud to have Jeff be a part of our executive management team.

The NIOSH Bullard-Sherwood Research-to-Practice
(r2p) Award has been awarded to NIOSH scientists for two novel
surface wipe detection methods for methamphetamine, including

from SKC provide health department inspectors and industrial
hygienists with a method for immediate assessment of meth residue on
surfaces at levels relevant to state cleanup guidelines. Developed
by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH),
