Newtex Introduces Large Diameter Zetex Twisted Ropes
Newtex Industries expands its line of Zetex twisted ropes to include three new diameters: 1 ¸", 1 ²; and 2". Zetex twisted ropes, made from highly texturized amorphous silica yarns, feature the hardest density and firmness to provide a stronger seal for gaskets and seals. Zetex twisted ropes are easier to install when cutting specific lengths. Once cut, Zetex twisted ropes retain their shape integrity, not opening completely, which allows for smoother installation. Applications include boiler doors, boiler inspection plate covers, bag house doors, and dome or lid covers within the molten metals market. Industries that use Zetex twisted ropes include power generation and turbine insulation, steel, aluminum, copper and other basic metals groups, construction, chemical processing, petroleum refineries, heat treating and stress relieving, automotive and industrial maintenance. Large diameter Zetex twisted ropes can withstand continuous heat to 1100ºF (593º) and higher temperatures at short duration, as well as cold to -100ºF (-73ºC).
