This 332 page book covers various types of ergonomics problems through actual case studies. There are 15 case studies that are under the category of Manufacturing and Production Processes. "An Ergonomics Lineside Audit Method in Automotive Manufacturing" by Smith is practical studies of the automotive manufacturing ergonomics audit.
Support and Services job sections run through chapters 16 to 19 giving examples of well thought out and implemented ergonomic solutions. Examples in this section include Bottle Water Handling, Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders, Ergonomic Solutions in Electric Energy Generation, and making Ergonomic Changes in Construction.
The next section is office environments. Four papers are given allowing new insight into office ergonomics. These papers address Visual Ergonomics in the Workplace, Office Ergonomic Assessments using the Internet, and resolving RMI's in Manual Insurance Policy Assembly.
Health Management chapters address issues such as "Job Simulation and Physical Abilities Testing" and "Nerve Conduction Testing: Post-Offer Job Assessments".
The final section of this book involves the design aspects of ergonomics and the prevention of problems and injuries in the future.
