Miner Safety and Health Act of 2010
July 13 th 2010 Solicitor of Labor M. Patricia Smith, Assistant Secretary of Labor for Mine Safety and Health Joseph A. Main and Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health Dr. David Michaels testified on the Miner Safety and Health Act of 2010 legislation before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and Labor. <MORE>

US Department of Labor’s OSHA distributes oil spill cleanup safety guides and fact sheets. Materials to be published in several languages.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration is distributing thousands of safety guides and fact sheets to employees involved with the oil spill cleanup along the Gulf Coast.

OSHA has recently reviewed Methylene Chloride standard
The review indicates that the standard is succeeding in protecting workers from the effects of methylene chloride exposure, such as respiratory and central nervous system failure and cancer.
